Let’s establish some rules and why they’re important. The following rules are crucial because they dictate the entire theme of planning your wedding.

You are more than likely going to be tempted to spend money, especially if you let yourself play those mind games like, “Well, how many times does a person get married?” or “It’s my wedding, I want to treat myself to something nice.” You absolutely should but always keep the rules in mind.

The three rules that you must stick to in order to pull off a wedding budget of $500 or less:

• Plan a small and intimate affair

• Borrow, borrow, and borrow

• Use every resource you have
