Jay's Bridal will be hosting their EGainesville Wedding Expo on August 28th, 2011 from 12pm-5pm in the Phillips Center here in Gainesville!! They will be featuring tons and tons of local vendors, you can plan your wedding in one day! You can get tickets online or at the door.

Another Bridal Show Sunday

We had a fabulous day at the Florida Bridal Expo on Sunday! 

Amy and Melissa were quite the comedians on stage, talking about Planning Palooza...hehe! (That's coming up on September 26th, by the way.) 

We tasted tons of yummy cake and food, watched the fashion show, and chatted about our favorite topic all day long!

And we made sure to rest our feetsies before the brides arrived!

Bridal Show Fun!

 There is alot of fun to be had a bridal show! And how fun is this! The Plant Shoppe made these AMAZING dresses from flowers!! How fun are they!



And then she created a photobooth for brides to make amazing pictures! And so much fun for the brides! How unique and so much fun!

Bridal Show!

It is that time of year again! The beautiful, wonderful time of year that zillions of brides gather in an organized chaos and attempt to plan their wedding in one day, by eating more cake and chocolate covered strawberries than one person should eat in a lifetime.



It's Bridal Show Season!



And for those of you getting married, yes, there is a season for everything, including Bridal Shows!



And we are there to guide you through the chaos of a bridal show, and help you with cans of "Yoo-Hoo, so you're getting married!" and "Stress Relief Pills"

So if we missed you on Sunday, at the Performing Arts Center, for the Gainesville Wedding Expo, we'll see you on September 12th, for The Florida Wedding Expo, at the University of Florida Hilton!



We'll be in-between Too Jay's (and you guys know how much I love me some Too-Jays, I wonder if they'll bring me a corned beef sammich?) and Dream Day Cakes!

Remember the Gainesville Wedding Expo that we attended a few weeks ago? Well Videotronics put together this awesome video that shows how amazing it was! Watch out for our booth!

Bridal Shows are so much fun and can be great for the bride who needs inspiration and a good place to start. However, they can also be overwhelming and brides could end up feeling helpless. Here are some good pointers to make your experience go as smooth and as fun as possible!

• Go in with a plan. Know exactly what vendors you need to find for your wedding and seek those out first. Most bridal shows have a lay out of the booths. If you are only going to find a cake baker, find their booth and walk straight there.
• Write legibly so the vendors know how to contact you. If they can't read your name or phone number, you could risk not hearing back from them.
• Talk to the vendors about your wedding. Connecting personally with someone who is going to be there on your big day is SO important! Walking around and taking business cards will not give you a good feel for who the vendor is.
• At the end of the day when you get home, sort through your bridal show goodies. Throw away the vendor information that you did not like and keep the vendors you fell in love with or want to know more about.
• Follow up with Vendors as soon as possible!

Sounds easy, right? Go in with a plan, and you will be sure to find success!

Gainesville Wedding Expo Recap

We had such a great time at the Real Gainesville Expo this past Sunday! We always LOVE, LOVE, LOVE meeting new brides, and their energy is amazing!

Celebrations Catering provided a delicious vendor lunch for all of us, and Susan Powers and I got to take a breather together.

And plus, we think that bigger is better, so making our booth taller was so FUN! We really just had a blast, can't you tell?

Gainesville Wedding Expo

We have another bridal show coming up! Jay's Bridal is hosting The Gainesville Bridal Show and you don't want to miss it! Tons of premiere vendors will have booths set up with goodies, prizes, and super fun displays!

The Gainesville Wedding Expo will take place at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts from 12 PM to 5 PM. You can pre-purchase your tickets here.

Bridal Show Mania!

We had such a great time at the Bridal Show on Sunday! We met some fabulous engaged brides and grooms, and we also got the chance to chat with brides that we are currently working with!



But first there is set up and getting ready... and Leah snapped this one of me flat ironing my hair in my compact... the gloriousness that is being a wedding vendor!

The vendors all had bets on if my shoes would stay on all day... they did! AHEM!

Our booth looked so fun with the lanterns hanging from the ceiling (thank you Intern Melissa!) and Erinn, Intern Melissa and I had so much fun chatting with everyone!

And our neighbors ROCKED! We had Celebrations Catering on one side, and The Plant Shoppe on the other, we all used green to accent our booths (totally planned!) And it was a blast!

Then, I had the fabulous opportunity to give away a $2500 Planning Package to one lucky couple! So I got on stage (with my cute shoes on) and Maria and Josh are our newest clients! They won! Yayyy!

Florida Bridal Expo

This Sunday we are heading to the Floridal Bridal Expo hosted by Solutions Bridal Designer House. We are so excited and can't wait to meet all of the brides-to-be! The Florida Bridal Expo will be at the University of Florida Hilton and doors open at 12 PM! Don't miss this opportunity to check out Central Florida's premiere wedding vendors and get the chance to see some of the most beautiful dresses out there!

And if it couldn't get any better, we will be giving away a complete wedding day coordination package to one lucky bride! The MasterPiece Weddings team will be set up right next to Celebrations Catering. We better see you there!

St. Augustine Fall Bridal Show

We had such an amazing time at the St. Augustine Fall Bridal Fantasy show! So many fun vendors, amazing displays, and wonderful brides came through. We drove to St. Augustine Saturday night to get a heads start on our set up. Thanks to Leah from Celebrations Catering for taking pictures this weekend, you can see that it turned out amazing:

Dan Hathcock and his team from Unforgettable Events made a beautiful arranagement for our display, the perfect touch! After setting up our own booth, we decided to help Dan set up his incredible Indian-Inspired wedding decor for his booth.

On Sunday, we greeted brides with our "101 Reasons why we're Awesome!" brochures and mingled with local vendors. Bridal Shows are always so fufilling. Getting the chance to speak with so many brides about how their plans are coming along and how we can help is so fun. We can't wait for our next two shows this Fall!
