How great (and possibly free!) is this idea? One of the biggest tricks to saving money is to use every resource you have first before you think about spending any money. Some of those resources may come from very generous, creative, and loyal friends. Don't forget to do something for them to let them know you appreciate their support. These little mason jars filled with a little candy or some fancy pens and pencils, maybe nuts or bubblegum would be a cute little way to say thanks and is so much better than just a card.
